Souls Harbor of Northwest Arkansas is a transitional community and substance abuse clinic for men in recovery that provides a pathway to self-sufficiency by offering grace and guidance.
The homeless population in Northwest Arkansas is larger than you may think. Men in our area are in a great need for resources, support, and guidance.
The Northwest Arkansas Point-in-Time Census from 2017 noted that 2,951 individuals are estimated to be homeless in the Northwest Arkansas area.
Education - We equip our men in the areas of parenting, life skills, financial literacy, relapse prevention, communication & more.
Guidance - We partner with many local churches, companies, and civic organizations to connect with sponsors and mentors.
Case Management - We work with each resident through counseling on an individual basis to set short and long-term goals, assist in applying for health insurance, and get paired with a sponsor.
Faith - We are a faith-based organization, connecting recovery to God’s mercy and we encourage residents to attend a church of their choice, work with a sponsor, and participate in biblical studies.
A Life Changed
"I've been aware of Souls Harbor for almost thirty years, even volunteering there as a teenager. It seemed appropriate that as an adult, I ended up needing it. When I moved in I was just barely beginning to care about myself again, and Souls Harbor helped me find the tools to care about myself fully, and more importantly that other people cared as well. I have now been sober for over 15 months, and I attribute it to Souls Harbor giving me the opportunity to find peace within myself rather than looking for it in others."
